I just got back from taking a knifemaking class with Mike Vagnino, JS.

I highly suggest that if you guys have some extra green and a few days off of work that you set something up with Mike.

Mike really helped me out with some problems I was having with forging, and he showed me how to improve on things in every other aspect of making as well...some things I didn't even think I needed to change! :)

Mike and his wife Marcie were as welcoming and hospitable as anyone could be, and I had a great time at their place.

Mike has spent a lot of time with Tim Hancock (MS) and some of the tips I learned were handed down from Warenski. His work is absolutely pristine, and he can help with all aspects from forging through final finish work.

It was definitely time well spent!

Hey Bruce-

I don't want to get to exact, or the forum gods will kick me off as an advertiser ;) But let's just say it costs the same as a good knife.

Bob-
So how is beautiful and scenic Butte?!?
I learned a heck of a lot of things that should cause me to be embarassed by my wild and crazy pounding at Ed's! It was a good time and I would do it again. Good to see your name on here! :)

Bob Hello. Are you snowed in in Montana? I saw one of your knives in "Knives 2002" Good going my friend! I hope to see both of you in Oregon this year. Missoula for sure.
