I just got back from taking a knifemaking class with Mike Vagnino, JS.
I highly suggest that if you guys have some extra green and a few days off of work that you set something up with Mike.
Mike really helped me out with some problems I was having with forging, and he showed me how to improve on things in every other aspect of making as well...some things I didn't even think I needed to change!
Mike and his wife Marcie were as welcoming and hospitable as anyone could be, and I had a great time at their place.
Mike has spent a lot of time with Tim Hancock (MS) and some of the tips I learned were handed down from Warenski. His work is absolutely pristine, and he can help with all aspects from forging through final finish work.
It was definitely time well spent!
