About a year ago, my co-worker bought a 110 off me, he's a guy who is rough on his tools, but he fell in love with the 110, and promised to take better care of it than the Spydie Native he bought earlier (bent tip, chipped blade, light surface rust speckling...)
Yesterday, he brought it in to have me sharpen it, I was dreading opening the blade...
...actually it wasn't too bad, the splinter picker tip was intact, and it still had a little edge left, aside from a couple minor specks of rust, the blade wasn't in horrible shape...
25 swipes each on the 30 degree and 40 degree sharpmaker brown rods and it had a nice toothy utility edge, I let him test the edge, and compare against the polished edge on my Eco 110, he liked the toothier utility edge better, so I gave the knife a final wipe down and a drop of 3-in-1 oil on the pivot and he was satisfied...
Even after his hard use, the knife was rock solid, no blade play, it was just as solid as the day he bought it
And it wasn't babied
Solid knife that 110, time to add another to the collection, methinks
