My Current Collection

Earlier collection threads and pics contain a lot of retired pieces . Some of my current pieces haven't been documented by me . For these reasons(and insurance purposes I decided to take pics of my edged weapon collection today.

A couple of these are just guests passing through , but the majority are "essentials " that will last as long as I do.

Those that have reviews have links to said reviews. Due to the freaking irritating picture issue here you can view these photos here : http://zenblades.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=reviews&action=display&thread=71

My friend Doho of Yorkshire was on hand to help me .

Fantastic collection. I particularly like that John Lundemo piece. Planning on making a heron mark sword which I envision coming out something like that. Thanks for sharing!

I always like your posts, they are quite well done. And the obligatory throwing star is cute.

treasure that Stuart Willis hawk..he was a good man and a great craftsman. Phillips not one to talk on the phone very much but you couldent get him off the phone when he was talking to Stuart.

Three things.....

1. Awesome collection.

2. I love that Crusader Monk Sword. I really dig the red stained leather grip and the sheath.

3. That dog is really neat. He/She wanted to make sure he/she was in the photos. :)

Thanks for taking the time to post this Marc, nice collection.

After reading your reviews though I have a few questions.

1. Did the Hanwei Wind and Thunder change AGAIN? The pictures I see now look like they are shobu-zukuri.

2. I thought when Albion stopped using 1070 they went to 6150, not 5160. I have searched the net at various times trying to find some exact dates/details about that with little luck, just a few discussions on it here and there. Do you have an inside source that it is indeed 5160 that they switched to?

Albion uses 6150, as does Arms&Armor and Del Tin. Albion went to 6150 somewhere around 2005, with the Next Generation surge and after Randal Graham left.

The Filmswords link from the Conan days may well relate 5160 for the Conan swords, as there were some heated contentions between Gus and Randal back in those days. As a current "insider" Marc, maybe Gus is ready to relate more of the keggers that were fine discussion fare a dozen years ago.

Cheers
