I just recieved my CRKT M16-14 in the mail today and just ordered a Spyderco Delica FNR handle with the Serrated edge! I already have a CRKT M16-12 and like it so much I ordered the 14 just becouse of its size. I'm gona wait until the end of the month when a Gun&Knife show is coming to purchase a Endura next.

Heres a pic of my two CRKT's with a dollar bill for size comparason.

M16-12(New one) on top and M16-14(First one) on the bottom.

That's almost how collection/accumulation started. I'd always just had SAKs and Buck 110 knock-offs until I got an M16-04M off ebay because it looked cool. I managed to find an M16-12 carbon fiber soon after that. Unfortunately, I found this website and had my eyes opened to all the infinite variety and craftsmanship out there and it's been all downhill from there..... :D  :D I can pretty much say for certain that your Delica won't be the last Spydie you get. Welcome to the sickness

My knife collecting, which I've done since a youth (and I inheireted my grandfather's collection when he died) was rekindled this summer by the Kershaw storm. I'd been EDCing a CRKT urban shark for a couple years and just didn't even really think about knives anymore. When a friend bought the Storm and I got to playing with it, I just had to get a knife with some sort of flipper. Ultimately, I too discovered the M16/11K and am still in love with it.
That was a couple months ago or less....I've since bought a 41MC, Spyderfly, Cabela's Minigrip D2, HI WW2 Khukuri (a gift)...I think I'm going to have to quit for the summer though. The 41MC just about broke me.

The only thing I don't like about the CRKT M16 series, is that there's no lanyard hole, other than that, it's a great EDC.

Knice Knives man .. I love my CRKT's .. I just recieved my *M21-04 the other day

I've been eyeing the M21 as well but can't make up my mind as to whether I want the large or the small one..... decisions, decisions

Hey thanks .. I love my little Q3 ,,, I knew they had a 2aa converter but this is the first I have seen on the single cell aa one.. thanks ..
I run mine with rechargable 123's .. It is ungodly bright with running them at 4.2 volts.. not near the run time though .. I may see about the single cell just for around the house..

Theres not a hole, But I plan on runnin the lanyard I ordered right through the end where the support mount(I Guess) is.

Bye the way, What does EDC stand for?

Just got bigger today with the addition of my new Spyderco Delica and a bunch of Lanyards to go along with some of them.

Mine got bigger yesterday with the addition of a second Spydie Meerkat and a Pride. Will get bigger today with the addition of a Centofante III, Dragonfly and Bryd Meadowlark - waiting at the Post Office for pickup :D I was pretty good last week - only added a Wave II :D I made a resolution this year to buy "only" one a month - worst hour of my life ;) I have a ZDP Caly Jr on order and I think that puts me well into next year :)

SG - good choice, you cant go wrong with the M16/M21 line - theyre excellent knives at a very reasonable price.
if you really like the M16s, consider picking up an aluminum handled one as well. they really feel a lot more solid, are a bit better balanced, and look better. the blades are AUS-8 as opposed to the AUS-4/6 they use in the zytel handled ones.

that said, the zytel ones feel warmer/more comfortable in the hand. i have yet to try the G10 handled firemans models but am thinking about ordering one soon. has anyone here handled one? how do the scales feel? im kindof on the fence between ordering an LE or MIL one with alum handles or an FD one with red G10 scales.

check out the M21 line as well - a useful and easy to sharpen double-ground blade shape (as opposed to the chisel ground M16s), and satin finish instead of bead blast. they are around $45 for the large one like jefff posted.

jefff: what knife is the clip on your M16-04 from?

cheers,

Yeah, I've been thinkin about the red F/F model due to the fact that I'm a Fire Sprinkler Inspector and I think it would make a great "Work Knife'.
