In this picture there are some "Taramundi" my favorite type of traditional spanish knife, they are from very close to where I live i the Northwest of the country. Typically the handle is boj buxus sempervirens, and it's burnt or drawn or even both things at the same time, carbon steel in 1 4 6 7 8 and stainless the others.
Hope you enjoy,
see you

Thanks for sharing! The second picture... I can see myself whittling away with any one of those. Mark.

Thank you for sharing. Do you've any chance have pictures of the second set closed? I am drawn to the black handled wharncliffe one myself.

Those Spanish knives are really interesting, and make a neat collection as a set.

Thanks for sharing, and Welcome to Bladeforums!

Thank you for showing us the collection. The most beautiful knife, to me, is the 4 on the top pic. The cow horn handles are really cool.

BTW: Welcome the BF!

Kind regards
Andi

Welcome and thanks for sharing your knives. Very nice and very different than what we see most of the time. Cheers!

Thanks for showing it isn't too often that we get to see real legit ethnic knives I especially like that Opinel.

I posted what I hoped would be a companion thread to yours and just realized I failed to post my compliments in your thread! I like your collection:)

Very nice collection. I like the knife on the far left of the bottom photo. Is that a wood handle? It almost looks like old bone.

Thank you very much for all your comments,
all the handles in the second pictures are boj wood (buxus sempervirens) except the ebony on the black one, which by the way is one of my favorites too, It's the one I carry when I wear a suit because I see it very elegant.
I'll try to post some better quality photos one of these days.

Hi everyone, as I promess I'm posting some more photos made with my reflex digital camera.
I really hope you like them

Very nice collection, and also very unique, especially in the states.

Nice photos too, with the SLR. It makes a huge difference, compared to the cell phone pix.

I'm interested in Taramundi knives. I have seen a picture of Taramundi knife with the liner locking mechanism in the bolster part. It was made by Mr. Juan Carlos Quintana. Is it usual Taramundi knife?

thank you all guys,
Taroh, Taramundis are by definition friction folders, just humble peasant knives. however in recent years with all the internet boom in knife collecting there are some variation and luxury editions even with mods like liner lock or a lock similar to opinel's.
Here are some threads of a spanish forum where you can see a lot of them.

Mateo,

I'm glad this thread was refreshed again; I enjoy seeing your pictures of your beautiful, unique (to me) knives.

However, I was disappointed to see your name, but not Tato.

I hereby fix this:
