Wow. I don't think I could count all the knives I've ever owned. Not that I've had SOOOOOOOOOO many, but just so many were forgetable Chinese POS. Nice work though, cutting a third out of your collection.

Here are some of the ones I can remember:

Victorinox Champ from parents at Service Merchandise: age 12 (stolen or lost)

multiple Pakistani lockbacks from flea market: Age 12 to 16 (lost, stolen or broken, still own 2 small ones)

Case Brown Bone CV medium stockman from parents: age 16 (gone to my uncle)

strange Japanese-made multiple function gadget knife from maternal aunt: Age 17

Bear MCG small stockman from work boss: Age 23 (worn out and then stolen)

Kissing Cranes Brown Mule large size: Age 27

Cold Steel Trail Guide medium drop point: Age 27

Victorinox Hiker: Age 27 (given to a friend)

Colt small tanto linerlock at SMKW: Age 27 or 28 (given to a friend)

Victorinox ALOX Farmer at SMKW: Age 28

Walther Allied Forces folder at SMKW: Age 28

Spyderco Almite Navigator at SMKW: Age 28

Since then:
Spyderco Native I and Wayne Goddard

Benchmade 530, 551 Griptillian, and Monochrome

Ontario Marine Raider Bowie

Paki Bowie

multiple older carbon steel slipjoints

Opinels (numbers 6 and 8)

Cold Steel Mini-Bushman

(not an all inclusive list but a lot of knives, more than I need or can use)

Nice work though, cutting a third out of your collection.

Hey now :p I didn't MEAN to lose a third...I just kind of lost them. And I have two more to add the list now. A Buck 110 and Victorinox waiter from my grandfather!

Every good collection should have good cataloging behind it and it seems that you are doing a fine job of that, Needle.

I wonder what your catalog will look like 20 years from now .
