My Condor Hudson Bay knife...

IMHO they are probably one of the best "Camp Knives" you can get under 100 bucks or so and are a nice take on a very traditional fixed blade pattern. I really enjoy and use mine a great deal and find it to be an excellent woods bumming knife in general.

Looks like yours has the original heavier finish. The new ones have a more subtle (and in my opinion improved) finish with smaller markings. Love those knives! Condor is good stuff.

This knife was ordered early in the year. It has the heavier finish. Regardless, I think it's a beautiful knife.

No that's a new one, you can see those little peen marks or whatever in the light.

I don't mean the original epoxy coated version. They started off with the black epoxy coat, then switched to the heavy (roll?) marking of the OP's model, and now have a lighter more natural looking finish. :)

The hammer marks make the knives look old. You can easily see where they had my knife in a vise to do the hammering. If I were really picky, I would not like that, but the Hudson Bay is a user knife.

I picked up mine a couple of years ago. Original 'boring' finish unfortunately, but DAMN, what a great knife. Outperforms my BK2, and my KofACamp knife. At a fraction of the cost of either. Good choice. Enjoy!

I use mine all the time. It is one of the originals that I stripped and darkened with vinegar.

I just wish the handle was a bit bigger. I guess I need to pull the scales, add some thicker, and more contour. But, I wear a 2xl glove.
