...well, not really. During todays chat, I mentioned that a young mate of mine was going over my bandicoot. Well, the bloke just could not stop staring at it and more so the sheath! he was in ore.

He loved it. He grabbed a peice of A4 paper and sliced that sucka all the way through length ways - razor sharp straight from the factory...

His eyes lit up and he fired numerous questions at me from what steel, where from and to how much. When I told him the price (in Australian dollars), he went all quiet and sad. You see, a lot of non educated knife fold in Australia are use to buying those $15 dipsosals knives that last about a week.

I couldn't resist, I told that poor sad looking bastid he could have it. He said, "when do you want it back?"...I said, 'No, you can keep it!'

Who the hell was I to deprive this kid of a tool he would have for the rest of his life.

Enjoy it Tony! And I hope you find your computer illiterate ass to these forums! ;)

Damn, this means I am down to my last Coot!:(

Sure hope that INFI one comes soon...

Moral of the story; Another happy Down Under Chunder Blunder...
:D

conspiracy i tell you. Get him hooked with a freeby then, whammo you got him for everything in the rat line up.

Gundy - The Down Under Gunder Wunder Rat Pimp :D :D

Hey Mr. Pusherman!

Seriously, that was an amazingly kind and generous gesture Gundy! Good on ya!

Cheers,
BJB :)

Nice one, Gundy! "What goes around, comes around" eh?

BTW the philosophy of buying cheap knives based on price alone is pretty common in the USA too, as well as Oz. I had a table of cheap-to-expensive knives (mora's up to a spare BM) for sale at a knife show. The cheapos sold, the rest (the quality blades) came back home with me. Go figure.

I can't believe it, Gundy. You gave away a coot to one of your mates! And here I am, practically a "friend" for your entire Bladeforums life, still Cootless!!

I think it's time for me to make another friend. :D :D

Battle rat is in the mail Golok! :D :p

Ahh, you should have seen the look on his face, he NEEDED it!

Gundy! That's terrific man! I'm "chuffed"...

still trying to get the hang of that aussie lingo... can't seem to pull it off...

Gundy, it's heartwarming stories like yours that restore my faith in this corrupt world.

Generous and heartwarming. Seems to me that this is an example we should follow.

Like Jerry, we give of our substance and are returned much more. Who knows what blessings are in store for Gundy....

Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

:D

Mormansniper, we have already had 2 blessings...

My wife and I were told we would never have kids (after we were married), and 2 years later, we have a boy & a girl...

We will not ask for any more...unless the new Steel Heart cometh my way, then that will be a total of 3, and life will be sweet! ;)

hmmmm, it looks as though my lovely wife has been posting something and did not log out...:grumpy:

What did she say about me!? It's not true, I swear!

that was not because of any of your doing leanne... it was because at that time the government was afraid to let a mutant like guy have any offspring. but now with the new drugs and shock treatments things are looking much brighter.
thank god your kids take after you!:D

If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

is His time, not ours. Blessings can come at any time.

If you are interested, here is what we believe about families and children. Many agree in one form or fashion.

We are blessed in many ways. Some are difficult challenges. Some bring joy or sorrow, but all are meant to make us stronger; to give us experience.

If you are in the service of your fellow man, then ye are only in the service of your God.

:D

Good for you Gundy. Hope your friend is getting some good use out of the knife.
