Just have to throw this out there because I'm not sure if this has been discussed.
My CQC-8 Is now extremely smooth so I decided to threadlock the pivot. I got my hands on some Loctite blue tape. It is working very well and NOT MESSY. It has been around a week now and is still rock solid.
