Got the CQC7 today and...

The knife came back amazing.... i don't even think I will sell it any time
soon (yeah, right!)
He actually re-ground the blade within the vintage specs (grind lines
different than the 2000 model) so I have a sratch free blade and a real
zero ground! scary sharp!, new blasted bolsters (with dual detents), handles, skull clip,
screws... so it looks like a NIB from the 94's

I think that the only knife I will take as an even trade will be a CQC8

Thanx for looking,

best regards,

Joel,

Let me be the first to tell you that your 7 looks fantastic now that I see the pics instead of the scans.

My god. I think I'm in love... Joel - humor me. Allow me to fantasize for a second. How much for it, straight up (i.e., I don't have an "8")?

And, just for clarification, did you send it back to Ernie for the re-fitting/finishing, or to an as yet unidentifed (to me at least) soul?

Chris

Joel congrats!
It sounds like Ernie did some serious work on this one and it came out great, a keeper indeed (unless you come across an 8)!

Hey Joel,
That's

I don't have an 8 to trade but how about 5 dalmations a cat and a 3ft iguana

Joel,
The blade on your vintage 7 looks longer. Is it 3.5" or 3.25" like on the current 7's.

Sniper:
You can put then on a styrofoam box with water soaked cottom balls and put the snakes inside a cloth (cottom) bag...

here is a pic:

and the other one:

if you can tell which one is which, you're really good at it!

Joel:

Unfortunately, or rather, THANKFULLY, we don't have any snakes here in Kansas that look like those! We do have a bunch of Rattlers though!

But those look cool. What I was really thinking was wouldn't it look good to have some scales on a Emerson Custom just like the skin on that bottom snake! Now don't anyone go trying this unless you've got some synthetic skin!

Hey John: How about Tony at Microtech. This would even look better than the "splash" LUDT.
