Just finished this.....heavy duty waterproof rig with a large TEK-LOK......it carries just right....with the handle of the axe pointed to my rear ................

the TEK-LOK is removeable as it is mounted through eyelets.

That is very nice, Andy. Thanks for posting the pics of it. My CA is still naked, but I think I'll have a sheath soon.

Cool design. Like the tec-loc add-on.

Let me ask you - is there a reason to split the cover? Or was it just a design choice? I'm just thinking of a longer (which might get in the way of a "draw") cover that is once-piece with no gap might shed water a bit better. No criticism. I'm just genuinely curious.

Thanks.

The sheath works OK, but there are 2 things I am going to change......Dennis in MA observation of the flap is correct... I am going to make it one piece and I also have to work on the neck area - the Crash Axe gets held up by the handle scales as the leather is not reinforced there and tends to close up around the metal above the scales and drawing out the Axe is not smooth. The Tek-Lok works great so with a couple of tweaks, this should be running smoothly soon.
I think with this design, it is good for a camping setup, but not for a tactical situation.
