I finally got around to taking a group picture, although it did not come out as well as I would have liked. The top left is my favorite mnandi, box elder. The third left is a limited run of 25 redwood burl mnandis. The wood is a lot darker and more dry now because it was left in my car for a while. I bought some renwax the other day hopefully that will help. The top mid sebenza is the knife I usually carry. The spear thru grass sebenza I had made to match my umfaan. I only have one large sebenza, the curly maple and I'm planning to sell that soon and in its place, I plan to get an ebony or african blackwood mnandi. Hope you guys like.

OK. . . .which one is the mnandi, the umfaan and the sebenza ?

:p :D

Actually. . . .very nice gathering ! ;) :D

Curly maple for sale huh? I am sure there are people (including me) that want to know when you will be selling that beauty. Hope you can let me know when! Aloha!

By the way, very beautiful collection. I am still waiting to buy my first sebenza. I think it will call my name when I see it. ( I hope I have the funds to get it!)

This is an outstanding gathering of quality, sir. The California Burkeye Burl is really ugly, though. I didn't know what you could do about that

then I had the ideas of sending it here, to Ireland.

We would not be as judgemental about poor looking knives

and I may use it for cleaning my Grandpa's

dirty old pipe when she clogs up.

Well done with your collection, JoHnYKwSt. I think you've good taste. Those woodies....WOW

Thanks for the picture

Nice collection, but something seems odd about the one second from the top on the right...;)

I really like the Curly Maple (methinks 2006 for my set), and I notice you have two snakewood Mnandi, you greedy so-and-so!

I was wondering about second one down on the right as well. What is that?

A Scott Cook Lochsa. Scott was the shop foreman at CRK for until a few years ago. Do a search under his or the knife's name and you will find loads of information.

Outstanding collection. You should generate a lot of interest with the curly maple large sebbie, if you post it for sale.

It looks like your Mnandi Inlays are Box Elder (you dog :p ), Mammoth Ivory, Snakewood (x2) but I can't figure out the Inlay on that middle Mnandi. What is it?

That's the LE Redwood Burl from Knifeart.

Thanks for all the kind words! James is correct, knifeart had an exclusive run of 25 redwood burls back when the mnandi just came out and I scored a number 9, which is the number I wanted. I'm really hoping the renwax will give it so of its color back. It used to actually have some RED in it. That's what I get for leaving it in my burning car during the summer months.

Cool, thanks for the info SJ. Hey, JoHnYKwSt let me know if you ever want to put that Redwood Burl Mnandi up for adoption. My home for wayward Mnandis has a couple of openings. ;)
