Picked this up a couple of days ago and have had it my pocket continuously. When I rec. it the edge needed attention and after putting on the Lansky I have to say it was probably the esasiest knife I have had to sharpen to a razors edge. Went very quickly and takes a wicked edge.

Loosened the pocket clipt a bit to get in and out of my pocket easier. Knife opened and closed very smoothly. Took the knife apart and cleaned it all up. Interesting note here is that the nylon bushings are tiny and thin. Appeared not to have any grease on them at all or if they did it had long ago worn off. Anyways still without any lube it was darn smooth to operate. Relubed with tetra and cleaned everything with WD40 and good to go. Even easier to open and close now. Wierd as the bushings are so small but proof is in the pudding so to speak, as it like opens on well oiled ball bearings.

The build quality is rock solid. No gaps between the g10 or the bolsters or the frame liners. Lock up at first concerned me as it just didn't look robust or reliable shall we say. Concerns are so far unfounded. Snaps into the open position with a nice rock solid sound and doesn't move one iota no matter how hard I seem to hit the spine out towards the point. No blade wiggle up or down or all around.

I have cut a myriad of stuff with it and have gone out of my way to use it. Newspapers rolled up and cut in the hand like you would a piece of wood and just sails through the tubes. Rope, string, a box, etc. etc. Nothing really hard to do but the knife doesn't hang on anything. Anyways have wanted one for quite some time and so far am happy with it. keepem sharp

I think that the teflon bushings are self lubricating and probably don't need much in the way of lube. I've seen some Spyderco bushings that were the same way, just as thin as piece of tissue. But they worked and did their job.

I am almost tempted to put a pair of bronze bearings in to just try them. I guess I am just used to thicker teflon from my EKI's and a few others. I am still very enamoured of the knife. IT seems to just get smoother and smoother the more I open and close it. I don't know I just like the way it looks and feels in my hand. Grip ergo's aren't as good as my EKI's mind you but still very good and I think that has to do with the thickness for the build on the frame. I wouldn't pay retail for it but I would pay the going ebay price which the cheapest I have found is right about 200.

The sharpness is different too. A real hard bity type of sharp. No burr or anything but just nice and hard from ricasso to tip. Smooth too if that makes any sense. I put a skull lanyard on it and I am good to go. Maybe its the looks of the knife that makes me like it so much. A combo of all the above. Hey I don't know I just know that I am going to be carrying this knife for a good long while I like it that much. keepem sharp
