This was my summer project. I had a good time with it.
I stripped the head and decided let a patina occur naturally. I replaced the set screw only because I wrapped the handle with some 550 cord.
The 550 at the top is ACU color and I think looks awesome against the color of the head. The 550 at the bottom is a maroon color (only because I didn't want black and OD green just clashed with everything). The handle is stained with a red stain but I went light on it to really bring out the grain. This mod took no time at all and I am going to make a leather sheath for it in the coming months.
