it's on its way (thanks Dave!). on the website from which i ordered this, the bowie blade version shown has a decidedly "silver" frame, while the stiletto version is the usual blue.

does this color even exist? i was under the impression that all CUDA Maxx knives come with a blue anodized frame. do you all figure this is just light bouncing off the frame, or will i be receiving a grey/silver one? (i HOPE it's blue!)

edited to add: here's the picture i'm talkin' about:

The early ones had a similar color to this, but the newer ones are decidedly more blue. Should be the same as the stilleto. The coloring in this shot looks to be from lighting.

I got one of the first ones off the production line. It is not as dark as the newer ones, but it is definitely blue.

It's just the way the light is reflecting off the handle. The one you get will be blue with some purple hints towards the middle. Use Windex glass cleaner to clean the titanium and really, and I mean REALLY, bring out the shine!

Bet you'll love it!:D  :)

Art, all along you've been the one getting me all "amped" over the Maxx, without even knowing it! i've read a lot of your older posts to answer my questions about it. it was shipped Thursday, so it could maybe come Saturday...!!

i know i'm not gonna be able to put this thing down!

What Artsig said, use a little Windex on a paper towel and wipe down the handle you will see the blue brighten up. The knive "dulls" as you handle it but wiping it down with the Windex removes the oils which comes from your hands and it brightens right up.
