I hope it's appropriate to post this here. I just wanted to share a picture of my current collection. Two are HI (Hanuman Ang Khola and 15" Ang Khola) the 5 chirra is from Khukuri & Craft, the 2nd and 3rd are the Mukti and Scourge respectively from The Khukuri House, and the top is the 24" engraved Panawal from EGKH. I will try to get better pics soon.

Completely agree. Very nice.

I did move this over to the Cantina, save the showroom for all things Auntie and HI.

Look at all those tools with the hanuman! So cool! I want to swing that AK too!

New to looking at these - my impression is that the Khukuri design doesn't really work without the swell at the pommel. The 3rd and 4th ones from the top in these photos look like sad little foreign cousins who don't know how to dress in country. I'm inclined to say I like the "traditional " better but also thinking that I have no idea what "traditional " means in this world of knives so I'll stop now. :)

Nonetheless (in spite of my 2¢ design opinion) you have a pretty fine collection there jhutter33

I totally hear you regarding traditional design. The 2nd f4om the top is not a Khukuri but a Mukti. It is a sort of hybrid between a hatchet, cleaver, bowie/fighting knife all in one. Definitely a chopper/stabber. I also agree with you regarding the Scourge (third one fromantic top). It definitely has more of a bowie feel to it (esp. with it it's handle which is very comfortable). Both are made in Nepal but not your "traditional" khukuri.
