my current muskrat display

Nice! I like the way you arranged them.
If I may add an idea......you may want to use a piece of red (or color of your choice) felt and use a spray adhesive for fabrics (available at fabric stores and probably walmart) and layer it over the top of your foam. It will make your knives stand out more and it will cover any rough edges that you get when cutting foam.

Don't worry about cutting the holes for the knives in the felt first, just glue a square over the foam and once it's dry then cut a slit in each knife hole. You should be able to tuck excess felt into the hole.
I would stay away from dark colors because the knives will become lost.

Wow, I better quit watching Trading Spaces with the wife!! :D

I never thought of doing it that way, I always thought of pushing the fabric down into the holes and then that makes your knives what to fall out of the holes. i'll try that, thanks for the idea, that should cover up the saw marks from my somewhat dull 18OT LOL :p
thanks agin fellas for the kind words.

Personally, I've always wondered how Martha Stewart would arrange a collection! With dried flowers? Origami? Black and white striped background material? :D

Nice work MM! You are indeed a talented young man. And while you have chosen what can be an expensive hobby for a young man, There are many your age who are unable to focus so well on something so benign as collecting classic knives. Repairing and selling the air rifles shows a lot of entrepreneurship too. Well done.
