Here you go.......my current "dream team." :D

From the top down

Large Classic Micarta with a Stainless Raindrop blade. I will change this damascus blade in my first Woody 21. The S-30 will go back on this beast.

Large Reg. with a unique graphic, and Stainless Raindrop blade. This may just be "the knife" for me. I love EVERYTHING about this knife.

Large Reg. Blue stud and spacer, with BG-42 steel.

Small Reg. Blue stud and spacer, with BG-42 Steel.

Small Reg. with unique graphic, and a Krein'ed BG-42 blade.

Yes I carry and use ALL of these. I will not keep a knife I am afraid to carry and use, no offense to those who do. ;)

There is something so nice about the classic barebones reg., now give them BG-42 steel with the bead blasted hardware and you really have a winner.

The other stuff that finds its way into my pockets more times than not. :D

The Sebbie of course, and....

8 GB Iphone
polarized Oakley Whiskers (the Ti frame makes them very light)
Ti Money clip (I can not ever see myself going back to a wallet)
Case CV Peanut (Keep'in the old skool alive :D)
Rambler SAK (thin and light...but still as everything I need)
Fenix LOD 4 (My daytime EDC light)
STR mini-mini Ti prybar (I put the paracord on her)
and the BM pen (I had to rebend the clip around to get it right, but other than that its a great EDC pen. You can clip it to your back pocket and not worry about breaking the clip off )

Thanks for looking, I hope to get a makeshift light box set up soon.

Quick question: What kind of money clip is that? I'm trying to find a good one.

I second the motion, what kind of money clip is that ?

Is it titanium ?

Nice fleet!! I really think I need to order a Micarta with Damascus. Do you see any change/wear on the Damascus when cutting abrasive material such as cardboard?

Yes, and no.

I ordered a Stainless Raindrop replacement for the Large Classic. After months and months of waiting they called. I sent it in, and said I wanted my S-30 back also. No problem.

While it was at CRK, I ordered the Large Reg. Stainless Raindrop. They both hit my mailbox the same day. :D

But......the Large reg. was not glossy and you can feel the steel has height differences. The Large Classic has a coating (very glossy) on it, and is smooth as a baby's butt. I have the receipt from CRK saying it IS a "stainless Raindrop" blade.

I know, the non-stainless has a coating on it(per the CRK site.) I think they are pulling my chain about the replacement being "stainless." Its NOT the same as the one I bought from TNK.

The glossy one (Classic) does show marks, the non-glossy (reg.) one does not. If it does its hides them very very well. See the pic. to see the marks.

I have to add, it feels a lot like VG-10. So its a great user Steel. I like VG-10 about as much if not more than S30-V.

I say if you make sure your blade will NOT be glossy, and you can feel the height differences in the two steels you will be very happy.

Does anybody know if a glossy blade = NON-Stainless?

did the bead-blasted hardware come that way from CRK? I love the way that looks. I'd love to get mine looking like that.

Yes, they come from CRK this way. I think it was the old skool' hardware. See the old skool' clips also.

I do think they will blast your hardware if you ask them.

Much appreciated.

morrowj_98: you can order blasted screws from CRK just email or call.

So-Lo: As you stated the damascus that is not stainless steel would have a coating, which makes sense because of oxidation. Plus, the coating would mark just like a coated blade from say Benchmade or Spyderco. A stainless blade, I assume, would have no coating and be more dull to the eye. Personally, I like the dull/flat look. I bet you could call CRK's maker of damascus (Devin Thomas) and see if there is some type of test you can do to verify to see if it is stainless or not. Not that calling CRK is bad but I just like use as many resources as possible. Or contact CRK, maybe someone knows, to see if they started putting a coating on all their damascus blades.

Thanks for all the kind words :D

I still can not get over CRK disco'ing the reg. I know I know......but still, what gives? The reg. fits my hands perfect in small or large. They once thought the reg. was "better" than the classic. Must be classics out sell the reg.'s?

Anyway enough complain'in....I have most of my want list now. :D

I hope the new folder is as good a knife as the Sebbie. This ='s a knife NOT a prybar! ;)
