My Custom Buck 110 is HERE!!!!!!

I love the scales. I have a 110 my grandfather gave me, but it's not a custom and rusts easily. Great knives, I really should get a custom with a better steel.

Great catch.

Huh!? That's one thing I've never heard about a Buck 110. I suggest you send it to Buck for a look (Buck Knives Customer Service, 1900 Weld Blvd., El Cajon, CA 92020). If it really is prone to rust, I wouldn't be surprised if they upgrade the blade for free. Their customer service is as good as it gets.

I'm getting a 110 with ATS-34 Satin, Sambar Stag scales, and nickel bolsters. What are the scales held on by? I'm contemplating rivets but it's probably unecessary.

My wallet says thanks, Last Confederate :D. This will take a bit of saving.

Appears to be nickel pins...and the fit is fantastic!

This is my first custom/semi-custom knife, and I originally ordered it to use, but it's such a work of art I am unsure now???? One one hand it is just a 100.00 knife and I never hesitated to use knives that expensive before, but it is so beautiful I hate to mess it up.

What about you all??? would you use it or store it???

Having owned a 110 and knowing full well what they stand up to, I couldn't own a safety queen version.

Ugh...I take that as a "use it" vote right????

And use it hard. Don't worry about it. Bead blasts are very tough finishes, the 420HC can handle what you throw at it, and it's a tank overall. USE! USE! The one I'm getting is $116 and you can count on it seeing plenty of chores (whenever I get enough for it :D )

Yeah I am leaning this way....the whole reason I got it was wanting to have something that wasn't "what everybody else carried"...and while Buck 110's aren't rare, mine is unique enough for me.

Don't just lean that way, fall over. Use it!

I did the custom Buck 110 a couple of months ago. I opted for the stag handles, nickel bolsters and the damascus blade. It was my first custom if you can call it a bonafide custom. Seems like I had to wait quite awhile to get it so it must be a pretty successful offering by Buck. I could never imagine having to wait years like some do for the full blooded customs.
