Hello all... this forum is very inspiring...
Be advised that i have never done any carving or anything with a knife before (other than cooking :D)...

I used my ESEE RC6 to carve the handle and then I sanded it down a bit to round off the edges...

The firesteel I got from GoingGear.com... and the wood is just a piece of wood I found here in the apartment (some wood I used for another project for my car )... I used a small drill to drill the holes and glued the steel with super glue... After I sanded the handle and put something I had in the house called "Algarrobina"... google it :D (used for eating.. but gave it a nice color)

Enjoy:

EDIT: Pictures are too big... don't know how to make them smaller... I'll try to change the size on my website... SORRY...
EDIT EDIT: Fixed the size...

Using photobucket? Try editing those pics down to 15" screen size. They are WAY too big right now.

I like it. I have always struggled for a comfortable grasp on most firesteels. This looks comfy - well thought out contours. I may do something similar, I've got some black walnut and some maple I may fiddle around with...

Thanks man!
My idea was to shape it like a key (i don't know if I've seen this model before or it was out of my own creativity - :D )

I tried it after i took the pictures and it is pretty comfortable i think...

thanks...

This makes me want to post more pics (of another setup that i have for the RC6... I might do it today..)

Again, thanks for all your comments... :D
