My custom impulse buy of the month .....

First saw this knife come up for sale last year. Then, it popped back up again last Friday ..... took all of about 30 seconds to buy it .... very little thought process involved .... pure impulse buy! It a Les Voorhies dress flipper with LSCF onlays and anodized Ti bolsters and back spacer. What makes this particular flipper special is that it is the only knife has ever made using Stellite 6K (and supposedly the only one he will ever make with 6K). Here she is ....

Learning more about the knife. Les made it for a customer 3-5 years ago. Customer supplied the 6K blade material. Originally had reconstituted stone scales. One cracked, so Les refit it with LSCF. Clip was added by Les recently for Vince at FHCK. When built, Les was calling it either a Model 6 or 7 (told me that he sometimes interchanged the model numbers!!). Regardless, I'm very happy with it and glad I didn't miss this second chance at acquiring it.
