I love double edge daggers, but these knives are illegal in Singapore- where I live. So with David’s assistance & great suggestions- I designed what I call my “UMD” Knife- “Unrestricted Modified Dagger”.

QUICK SPECS:
Blade: S30V- heat treatment by Paul Bos.
Blade Length: 3.75” cutting edge- 4” from tip to handle.
OAL: 8.4”
Blade Thickness: .175”
Handle: black G-10 with “satin finish”- fasten with stainless hidden bolts, two-ton water proof epoxy, along with red fiber spacers sandwiched between the handle slabs and the tang.
Weight: 6.4 oz

Not a revolutionary design- but it’s mine and exact what I wanted! ;)
I just love this knife and I must add that it’s a great pleasure to work with David Dempsey!!! David is very easy to work with and the result is fantastic!!! Then his customer support is the very best and I can tell you that he is really making sure you are a satisfied customer!!! Check out his web site at: http://www.dempseyknives.com/

Very cool knife. It is obvious you guys spent some time nailing the design. I love the flared handle at the front and the "skull crusher" work at the back. Grinds look to be just about perfection as well.

blademan 13 , tknife & Andrew Lynch---- Thank you very much for you kind comments! This is my very first custom knife- and I spent some time designing this knife using AutoCAD. I even made a mock-up unit in plastic- just to make sure... ;) So it fits my hand like a glove!!! AND IT DOES! ;)

But David Dempsey is the man!!! After the whole process- I can for sure say that David got the essence of my 'dream knife' and even if I did the original design- David made it even better- by some great modifications and together (mostly David)- we got it just Right in the end!!!

Thanks.

Thank you all for your comments and feedback! David will for sure get more orders from me! :)

I am very happy with this knife and finally know how it is to have a custom made knife- just fantastic!

That is a very clean design and beautifully executed. The 1-1/2 edge design looks very cool too. A very good get, and a great project for a first custom. The homework paid off... Cheers. Jason.

Hey Mr. Wallgren,

I think it turned out rather nice as well ;) Thank you for being paitent, and allowing me a small bit of artistic leeway with your design concept. Enjoy and put that baby to work!

I would also like to say "thank you" to all of you, for the compliments / comments as well. Feedback is a good thing, especially positive feedback :D

All the best to each,

I had a knife done like that once. The top edge/swedge is not sharp currently, but it wouldn't take too much to make it that way. ;)

Nice knife!

Thank you knife doctor! :) Yes, David is a great guy to work with and I am planning to continue to do so. Have not yet decided what the next knife will be, but David is the one to make it for me!
