I hope it's ok to show these customs here... if not, Moderators REMOVE them for me.

I recently bought the larger of these and later sent the smaller to be rehandled.

Wow.... perfect match!!

Thanks Matt! GREAT JOB!

Here is the new sheath I made for my short/fatty! I love this sheath.... I think it's my favorite sheath so far! Sadly the pics are really flashed all to heLL..... I need a light box!

Matt's work is incredible. I've been lusting after his knives for a couple of years now. If i ever break "the curse of the full-time knifemaker" and start having money again, I'm going to snatch a few up.

Thanks guys! Yes, these are really some sweet pieces of art! Matt does a super job!

Sadly one has to go......

Randy, here is a picture of the sheath I made up for the top knife. I need to work on something for the lower one!

Good lookin' sheath Jon. I like the 'textured panel' look, have to try something like that.........

That hamon one the larger one is crazy ! Love em !
Cheers

If I am not mistaken, the "hammon" on the larger, is actually the san mai layers.

He makes some sweet layered forged knives!

I love Mat's knives, and need to pony up for one.

Thanks guys, I like these knives too. I was a little sad to see them go, but glad that whiskeyriver has them so he can give them some nice sheaths.
BigfattyT, you are right. I did the san mai layers to replicate a hamon. I love hamons, but wanted a fully hardened blade, so decided that this would be a way to have both...so to speak.
