Here's my Nimravus with my first attempt at handle scales (G10 peel-ply). I'm pretty happy with the results. Matches my coyote brown sheath from tactical tailor.

That is pretty cool looking! Did you change the grind at all? My Nimravus was always pretty thin behind the edge...

Its more of a custom paint job, just removal of some of the cerakote (done by the factory). I can only claim the handle and the edge sharpening (didn't come with one....)

Luckily, these knives can take an outstanding edge! Mine went to hell and back before needing to be rebladed. If you ever tire of your blade, Benchmade will replace it for $35.

Very nice, I did this one the other day out of 3/16" green/black G10, the grind lines are not perfect but it feels really good. I love the Nimravus design it's an amazing cutting performer for a "tactical" knife, light with a great shape. The cub is actually one of my favorite small fixed EDC. You don't see much praise for them but they really are great cutters.

That does look good!

I was considering doing a denim micarta for mine in the future. I have the G-10 scales from the factory and they just don't have the grip I want. Last time I was in the factory I asked Crystal how much the aluminum scales would cost me (I would do the labor), and she quoted me $90

$90, wow that's a lot considering you can typically buy the whole knife with the AL scales for not much over $100 on ebay new in the box! The original G10 scales were nice but they were a bit slippery, I've always been tempted to bead blast them to see how that would roughen them up a bit.

Those were my thoughts... I'll try hitting them with some 150 grit tonight to see what happens.

Fun fact: The newer Nimravus blades are thinner in the handle/tang so the G-10 scales sit flush and the tang doesn't stick out anymore. I guess they had complaints, and listened!
