My Custom ring hilt

A custome ring hilt based on an origional in the Dublin museum is near completion. I was looking for a rough look that an irishman fighting the english would carry.

The pommell has to be peened still and the finishing work done but this is one MASSIVE sword.

Naw....My forging skills are what we call "non existent" :)


The sword was made by the guys of hallfire forge in arizona. I wanted a sword that lookes like it was a workhorse of a sword so specifically asked for a very rough finish....LOL not evey sword collectors tast I would admit but Its what I wanted down to a tee..

That explains it. Still, it has a lot of grace from the design...if not function.
 
Just don't start taking it to the pub fer a pint!






Course, that's why they started making iceboxes, so you can enjoy your fave sword and a Guinness in the comforts of your own home!

In saying that I do have a blunt h&H which we water filled beer cans which can be fun..
