Some may remember this 110 I got a few weeks back.
2004 date code stamped on both side, with a scale pin missing.
Not sure if the sheath is the right one for this year of manufacture, but it came with it and looks unused.

My mate Zanussi01 gave me this stag to use.(Awesome bloke that he is!)
The stag is from a Randall 5-6 he rehandled some time ago due to a split.

Inside of handle showing the original hole and glue.
Split was above rear end of hole.

Handle cleaned up and stag pieces cut oversize using original scales as a template.

Then I had a thought! Randall stag!? Can I put Randall type spacers?
YES I CAN! This is a dry fit up, no glue, just to check everything is okay.

Rocker pin reinstalled, shortened and peened over.
HvCDv6mm.jpg

Scales glued up and in the vice.

Starting of shaping by hand using rasps.
Top and bottom, then the ramps at each end.
(Even though I did thin the stag down considerably, it is still an inch wide at its widest point!
And yes it still fits in the original leather belt sheath, just!)
WvPQ5Kkm.jpg

Rounding with 40 grit by hand.

Final sand with 120, then wet and dry 240, with 1200 to finish.
DErcD73m.jpg

Polish up with 'Simi Chrome' metal polish.
A quick light slide on the diamonds and strop to bring the edge back.
Now she's a razor sharp fist full of stag with rock solid lock up, great snap and perfect centering.
All done and ready to rock and roll!

This is my first attempt at this sort of project.
A few times I had to walk away as it was nerve-wracking, didn't want to stuff up and waste Zanussi01's stag.
I'm very happy with the results and look forward to using my custom stag 'double stamp' 110!

Randall Stag on a 110?? Oh yes!! Nice work too..
Edit: I posted a Brian Yellowhorse double tang stamp 112 on the 112 Facebook page and was discussing double tang stamp 110's and 112's. Yours is the first 110 I have heard about in years and mine is the only 112 I have seen..

Wow, that is amazing! Stunned that you accomlished this outcome on your first attempt. Did you watch some YouTube/other 'how-to' videos to learn how to do it right?

Bravo!

Thankyou! I'm super happy with the outcome.
Not sure if I would do another though, if I did, I would do a few things differently.
For example, don't put epoxy in the top rear pin holes, this gets behind the spring and has to be removed as it retards function.
Ask me how I know.

No I didn't watch any 'how to' videos.
I did have my mate zanussi01 giving me plenty of advice and encouragement along the way though.
He's an outstanding teacher and absolutely treasure the time he gives for projects like this.

Thankyou eveled!
I thought if I'm going to have Randall stag,I should at least try to make it look Randall Made even though it's not.
Also adds to the uniqueness of it.

For those that may not know. The red white and blue spacers are iconic Randall. They also use real Sambar Stag, so it was great you were able to make such good use of it.

Very well done. Use that knife with pride.
