I always start to think of my family this time of year, and started thinking about my Dad, and the knives he carried and used. First off let me say Dad was not a knife collector, he used them as he would any tool. Dad`s passion was gun collecting, primarily older military guns (he was a WW II Veteran). He had everything from a Peabody from the Civil War, up through Krags, 1903`s 1903 A3`s, 1917 Enfield, M1 Garand, and M1 Carbine, as far as he was concerned anything after that was not worth collecting. When he go sick 10 years ago, he had me sell off his gun collection, all except his Beretta .25, and S&W Model 15, those were his users, he had me keep those two.

Back to the knives, these are the ones he carried, and I treasure. Thanks for listening to me rambling on, and Merry Christmas.

Nice cross sectiopn of traditional knives. A stockman, a jack, and a scout. Kind of like a broad spectrum of American knives that everyone knew growing up. Do you have a size for the two blade jack? Interesting looking little knife.

Carl.

It`s 3" closed, main blade is 2 3/8", small blade is 1 3/4", number on main blade looks like 25 1/2

My kind of knives, simple but enough to get the job done.
It's nice to have these things for a little memory of the old days.:thumbup:

I hope and pray Hannah is doing ok my friend, and that she has a wonderful Christmas.

Great post, thanks for sharing. My father passed recently and while I wouldn't call him a knife guy, he rarely went anywhere without his SAK. I loved sharpening and caring for his blades... He would get such a kick out of me breathing new life into his blades. Again, thanks for the post, brought back some nice memories.
