Hey fellas, just coming this way to visit the traditional forum. Kinda getting sick of the tacti-cool stuff and all the custom fixed blades etc. that I usually look at on the forums, and thought I'd get back to my pocket knife roots. Been on a slipjoint kick as of late, and love the stuff I'm seeing here, especially the Bose stuff.

I was looking at some of the many unusual shields seen on some of the pocket knives here, and remembered that dad had a knife with a peculiar shield. I asked him to maybe dig it up for me so I could share it here.

It's a Solingen Bulldog brand Copperhead pattern I believe. It has Rabbit Hound etched onto the blade. Dad said that he got this knife from a guy at work many years ago. The guy had it in with a big box of junk knives, and dad saw it and snatched it up for 10 bucks. He said he bought it because he loved the heart shield on it.

Anyway, here she is. It's been in his drawer now for over 10 years. Can you guys tell me a bit more about it?

Very beautifull old knife. I'm a sucker for old aged golden stag.:thumbup::thumbup:

Carry and use it well.

Super nice knife. I'll double what your dad paid, just to save it from the drawer :D

Gents, kidding or not, keep all feelers about purchases, sales or trades to the appropriate areas of the forums.

My wife has an impressive collection of pink and purple and pretty slippies and she's over here drooling over that heart shield.

Thanks for the replies fellas. It really is a nice old knife. The blades and everything about it seem more....i dunno....substantial than alot of other slipjoints I have, and have seen. The blades seem more robust for some reason.
