My Daily Companions

Just finished cleaning up after my daily range session and decide to take a picture of my two constant companions. The small classic Sebenza has been in my pocket for almost a decade now and the 10mm CBOB has been on my hip for almost 4 years. The Sebenza replaced an old Schrade slip joint that I'd carried for about thirty years and the CBOB replaced a Colt Delta Elite that I bought new in 1987 and still shoot regularly, although the slide is the only original part remaining.

I think they complement each other well...both classic and understated designs. No bling, just function.

I have to hand it to you. Thyere is no way I could carry and only have 1 sebenza for 10 years. That's will power!!!

I've never handled CBOB in .45ACP, but the 10mm versions have really impressed me. My wife also carries one and we put about 100 rounds a week through them with nary a bobble. In fact, other than three premature slide lock issues attributed to one faulty magazine, they've consumed over 22k rounds without a failure in the past four years with zero modifications. I spent a ton of time and money to get my Delta Elite to reach that level of reliability. 10mm 1911's can be finicky, but Dan Wesson/CZ got this one right. Never figured out why they stopped making the CBOB in 10mm.

But I'm a big fan of the 10mm cartridge and I've owned just about every handgun chambered for it. I have a few .45ACP's (and a plethora of other calibers) in the collection and I enjoy them all, but the 10mm is my favorite.
