My daughter constantly asks to see the grass machete. She is only 2 years old so I don't let her hold it...yet. Over the weekend, she asked to take a picture with me and the machete...

The machete by the way, is probably the best one on the market today...

EODM,

Great picture. Nice after market sheath. Thanks for sharing.
That's how you develope a Woodswoman. In a few years you'll have a great young lady who will be able to handle herself in all situations....just like Twinstick's daughter.

I made that sheath by the way...

I don't want my daughter to be dependent or lazy like a lot of today's kids are. So, I emphasize being outside and doing something. For me it is a lot about independent thinking and being out in nature, which to me, goes hand in hand.

Thanks for the kind words too!

Woot!!!!

Get them kiddies in the woods!!!!!

Epic pic, brother.

That's really cool! :) Keep it up! You're doing good.

Raising your child to be better than all the lazy kids that are scared of knives, guns, and anything that has to do with outdoors.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. You know, about this machete, I have looked HARD at other companies, like Cold Steel, Condor, Ontario, and maybe a few others. There is NO comparison that you can make when you compare this machete to others.

The sheath I had had adhesive which stuck to the blade, otherwise, I wouldn't have made that sheath. The handle rattles, but it doesn't cause any issues with functionality. All the other reviews I read about the machetes said that the others came with horrid fit and finish, broken, needed work, etc. The only major complaint about the grass machete is the handle and having actually held it, like I said, it doesn't inhibit functionality.

I think I am going to get another one of these.

So how does the grass machete compare to the discontinued BK6 patrol machete?

I think the BK6 is longer and has 3/16" stock. The grass machete is a little thinner. I think Ka-Bar won't be making the BK6 anytime soon since Toooj mentioned that it won't fit in some of their machines.
