Hello!

These are my daughter's knife pictures. The knife is made of titanium alloy and heat treated HRC47. But I wonder why I did heat-treated it because it's not real knife but just knife for it's shape. The knife has extremely 'dull' blade! Thanks for your looking.

Nice! Real clean lines.

Just curious -what kind of grinders do you use in Korea?

Thanks for your interesting. The grinder I'm using is 'Bader bench 3'. Of course imported. I have two standard wheels. At first when I started as a knifemaker (about a year ago) I made an effort to get a grinder. But in korea, it's almost impossible. Because it's consumers didn't exist so there are no grinder even similar things. At a shop, they suggested to make it by place an order. But the price was near the same as imported.
The 'Bader' is great 'for me at least. Specially I like it's power of motor and equal run speed. But I still can't understand why it took almost 4 months to receive it from ordering date. Anyway the most important thing is that I have it now. And I want to know the grinders you and the other knifemakers are using. Maybe the better grinders I guess? I don't know exactly which grinder is better... Thanks again.

Thanks Mr.flatgrinder.
Your grinder is excellent also I think. I feel the power even from the pic. I hope you have a great grinder not just Bader but the better things as you said 'after getting out of apartment'. Good work also.

The friends of my daughter(She is 6 years old) often visit or stop by my house to play with her. When they comeback their home they tell their parents like this ; The girl(my daughter)'s father is the rich of knives. We can see it on the table, desk even inside of car....Ha Ha.
The time which I can give the real knife to my daughter is when she can understand her father's job and to know value of knives our world...
But if she wants to be a knifemaker someday? what should I do? Agree or disagree??????

Let her help out with your knifemaking, teach her about money and what you get for knifemaking, and then tell her people may take her less seriously as a maker because she is a girl.

Are her friends jealous? :)

Yes. Maybe it's good and the best idea. Anyway I hope the knifeculture in korea changes as everyone feels the part of an art or a tool not as weapons only. Thanks for your advices.
