I went to the MVPA Convention today at the fair and expo center in Louisville. I am retarded when it comes to military vehicles but saw a lot of awesome stuff I wanted to share with my fellow Beckerheads. If I'm out of bounds posting this here, I apologize.
Selfie before heading in.
There were a couple cool set ups like this.
A line of Jeeps. The sheer awesomeness of these restored vehicles was awesome. Even the ignorant like myself can appreciate.
I really liked this one a lot. Especially the licence plate on the front...
Da Bomb
My dad and my son inside my father's friends restored mobile bunk vehicle (again, ignorant about what it's actually called...dad told me but I soon forgot because I saw something shiny)
A WWII go kart built in Iwo Jima. I know this due to the obviously obvious poster board explaining it.
Another array of vehicles.
Tank hauler. Freaking huge beast.
My boy wanted to get in every jeep there and drive it. I think I'd have been that way when I was a lad
One of the chapters vehicles my dad's a part of.
A shot of some of the vendors there. Mostly selling restoration parts for vehicles but there were several memorabilia and surplus stands.
Biggest table of knives I saw. Only saw one KA-BAR and it wasn't even a government issue one, it was a commemorative USMC knife with sheath. Did see a few Camillus models and other various ones. Wish I could have afforded to buy something there.
Anyway, it was a great day and I had a blast with the boy, apologies for lack of Becker content. However, I did carry my BK-11 in my Vanquest Mobius VPacker I had on me however so there was a Becker at the show.
To add some Becker content in here I'll throw in a pic of my BK-2 that I added some jumping to yesterday...with a cheap a$$ diamond file from the cheap a$$ tool store.
