My Delica - how do I fix the blade centering?

I love my Delica. It has become my new EDC.

Everything is great... except, when closed the blade is definitely not centered.

It is off by a good bit; it doesn't hit the liner but it's close and it still bugs me.

The opening/closing on the pivot is perfect so, apart from over-tightening the pivot, how do I fix this?

Try tightening the pivot really tight then back off LITTLE BY LITTLE until hopefully it's centered. Possibly opening and closing with every tiny adjustment. Personally I like my pivots pretty tight so I set it where I like it and just accept any issues. Some folders will be centered when really tight...others really loose. I put a thin strip of Teflon tape on the pivot screw to keep it where I like it.

Sometimes you can loosen all the screws, make sure the scales are lined up properly, tap then ends on a table top, then start to tighten all the screws back up going from front to back or back to front. Sometimes the scales are off just a bit and will cause the blade to be off center. My Delica was dead on when I received it but I had a UKPK that was off but never would center. Use care when tightening the screws back up and be sure you have the correct torx driver.

When looking at the knife closed, if the blade needs to go towards the left scale, you can try sliding the left scale up towards the pivot in the long direction. Assuming the knife has screw construction loosen all the screws and push the left scale on the butt up towards the pivot while holding the other scale stationary.

Hopefully that makes since. If you picture the pivot going through both scales, if they aren't exactly even it will tilt the pivot so its not exactly perpendicular to both scales. If the angle of the pivot is off a little then the blade will also be angled so it is closer to one scale. If it needs to go towards the right scale do the opposite and push it up.

If I had a picture it would explain it instantly but I'm on my phone. Its worth a try if you can follow what I'm describing.
