I returned home from a 2-day trip out of town, and I was suddenly cast into a state of despair. My dalmation had opened the door to my bedroom (he is somewhat intelligent)and procured himself a new chew toy, the handle of my Camp Tramp! He had chewed on the the very end of the handle, pretty much cutting up and removing small chunks of the handle ( a testament to the strength of Resiprene C, he usually eats 10" chew bones in one day). I was able to place the knife in the freezer, and smooth out the damage. But, know my knife's handle is slightly shorter than it was.

Is it possible for me to send the knife in, and have a new handle placed on it? I was kind of ticked, as I hadn't even given the knife a good workout since receiving it in a trade last week. Oh well, at least in my dog's eyes it seems up to par.

Hee Hee My dog did the same thing, but being a Golden Retriver he bit the business end...once. I guess they aren't that dumb, he did stop after the first bite. The bitch was, trying to disinfect the wound. He weighs around 100lbs and is very strong. We gave up trying to pry his mouth open as the cut wasn't that bad. Hell, he's eaten glass and beer cans with no ill effects, but he does growl at the knives now.
