Mods, please remove if this post is not allowed.

So to sum it all up in the last year I have open my heart up to the love of Jesus Christ and because of this I have realized I do not need this large pile of knives I have accumulated over the years. I have been trying to figure out a way to get these knives to people who will appreciate them and still help the less fortunate. So the group of knives pictured below I will give away to anybody who wants them. Here are the only rules

1. I encourage you to give whatever you feel is fair to a charity of your choice in return for whatever knives you would like. No need to post how much you give or to where.

2. While I am ok with someone choosing multiple knives for the give away, please keep it down to 1-3 knives so others can partake.

3. Please reply with what knives you would like AND a story of a way you were able to help another fellow human with a traditional knife, could be as simple as opening a package for someone to as drastic as cutting someone out of a burning car. Then send me a PM with shipping information.

Here are the knives listed from top row right to left:
GEC Harvester Red Bone, Sabre small stockman, Victorinox alox bantam, super tinker, recruit, ambassador, pioneer, heavily used kamp-king scout knife.

Bottom row right to left:
Case half congress red synth, medium cv stockman, peach bone peanut, black synthetic muskrat, red bone CV mini rat, trapper SS, red bone Eisenhower, 31sab case swell end jack CV, large sodbuster, medium toothpick, sodbuster jr, case lockback P10511/2LSSP.

All the knives are in gently used condition.

Wow! What an incredibly generous offer. I would love that CV med stockman if you don't mind.

I run a weekly group that helps preteen and teen boys. We play sports, hang out and get out on the land as much as possible. Knives are used a lot when we cook, trap and other outdoor pursuits. They always bring their knives and I encourage them to use them as much as possible. I show them proper whittling and leather cutting techniques, how to make tinder from various items, etc. All with pocket knives. We have a lot of fun! A few are budding knife nuts.

Thank you again!

P.S. I can't seem to PM you. Is there another way to send you my email?

Amazing give away!!! I recently gave away a Vic Alox to my brother in law. He works as a maintenance guy and loves it. He is constantly using the knife opening packages and in a pinch he finds the tools are functional too....but I kinda miss it!!! Would love to have a shot at another one!

I am so pleased, encouraged, impressed, happy for you.... wow, i can't even find the words i want to say. I can't ask for one, i have more than i need as well. I just wanted to chime in to share your joy and encourage you on your wonderful journey. What agreat way to begin.

I could find a good use for the Victorinox pioneer and the 31sab case swell end jack CV. Please let us know how your journy is going every now and then. Headed into Celebrate Recovery now so cant type much.

Very generous of you! I would love to have the 47 harvester. And very gladly give to a charity I know. I used one of my knives the other day to help a foreign exchange student prepare a package to send from the US to her sister. She did not know who the USPS system worked and it was clear she needed a hand. I used my knife to help her prep the package. I don't think she noticed the cutlery, but she was so grateful for the help. :)

I should probably sit this one out (I’ve received more than my share of generosity from folks here on the porch), but I love that #47 pattern and have always been curious about the Harvester, I just never picked one up. And of course I’m happy to donate to a charity in exchange!

One of my favorite things to do for people (mostly friends and family members who aren’t “knife people”) is clean up old knives that belonged to their dads, grandfathers, etc. There've been several, but the ones that come to mind right away are a pretty rough Old Henry I cleaned up for my boss, and an old Case knife that I cleaned up and sharpened for my father-in-law that had belonged to his dad.

So far the yella stockman, the swell end jack, the Victorinox pioneer and the GEC harvester have found new homes! Thank you all so much for your kind words and generosity!

I love this idea and am gonna do the same thing when I do the "Big Cleanout". I would take that Muskrat If it's still available. I mod them into Ratcliffes and give them to guys at the rehab /sober house where my daughter works when they get a job that needs a knife. They have to check them in and out as they come and go to work. Really any of these would do fine for this purpose.--KV
God bless you a bunch!--KV

I like the red bone eisenhower!

Once when my grandmother in law was attempting to open a christmas gift she said " one of you boys use your knife on this" shes from a time when most men carried a pocketknife. Thankfully there was one guy there with a pocketknife handy and we got the job done!
