My Dream Knife (Sodbuster)

I've never really posted about my idea of the perfect knife, and I wondered if anyone else had a dream knife in mind that if found, they would give up most every knife they own to have, because it would fill every need, meaning not just functionality, any knife can be sufficient to fill all your cutting needs, but also something that will give you a lifetime of pleasure to own, and handle.

Mine would be a Sodbuster, IMO the most simple slip joint design but has the potential (if it already hasn't achieved) to be the most rugged single blade, non-locking knife on the market. It's perfect for me for EDC and the size and feel is perfect for my hands, I can use it not stop for hours (and yes I have, pics to come later?) without my hands getting sore or having problems with hot spots, it has to be the most comfortable design in a hard working folder that I've ever used.

Because it fills my needs so perfectly I sometimes envision what my dream Sodbuster would be made up of, and I've put together the, again IMO, perfect one that I would give up just about every knife I own to have:

It would be a larger Sodbuster, with a 4 5/8" closed handle, and 4" classic blade;
-Deep pronounced nail nick,
-It would have to be some tool steel, that can take a nice patina, like O-1 steel, or if it had to be ss, then a simple 420HC, or CPMS30V steel, I've had the best experience with CPMS30V and I would be happy with that,
-With solid steel or thick brass pins, for less wear over time, (this is a lifetime knife)
-And a canvas Micarta handle, green, brown, or orange with red liners over steel or brass, depending on what the pins are made of (must match the pins) :D
-Also a good size lanyard hole, I enjoy lanyards on my knives, and my dream knife would have to have one,

Put that knife together and you have my perfect dream knife, legal in most places since it would be a slip joint and impossible to Spyder-drop, and classy looking and not scary so any sheeple would not be put off by it's appearance. It would also be rugged and strong enough to take on any chores or EDC, and occasional hard use, tasks I could throw at it.

Usually I carry my Case CV Sodbuster Jr. and it outperforms even my modern tactical-er knives and only get's a run for it's money from my Opinel #8, which has one downside and that's a thinner less stocky blade, and would most likely snap easier under hard use.

This is my baby for now, until my dream knife becomes reality :D

I would like to hear what your dream knife is, everyone's EDC needs vary and this is just the knife that works (literally) for me. What would your dream knife be, and what knife do you own now that would most closely compare to it?

Thanks,

Zach
