I just received this 118. Neither the knife or the sheath has a model stamp. I believe that it's an early flat tang construction and dates from between 1962-1964?

It appears to be unused or very lightly used. But the inner fiber spacer behind the guard has a chip out of it. The sheath is like new.

Good one Mike! I think you're time frame is 1963 to 1964. The transition from barrel-nut to flat tang was in early 1963 and the first flap-over style sheaths were in advertisements for 1965. Hopefully, a more knowledgeable collector will confirm this...or give us both the right info:)

That knife is in terrific condition! You got the dates correct if it is not a barrel nut. Sometime in 1964 is when we switched the sheaths to the holster style.
Congrats!! :D

Thanks for the feedback guys. Blades is a little confusing when it comes to the start of the flap style sheaths. And the beginning of the flat tang construction.
When I came across this one I was actually looking for an early 2 line inverted 105 to pair up with a like new 2 line inverted 103 with box and papers that I got a little while back.

Some of the best finds sometimes come when you're not really looking for them.
