In the past I have tended to keep my collection stowed away in a cabinet and desk drawers in my office. Not the best for viewing. :barf:

But after seeing some of the excellent displays posted by other members in various threads. It got me to take action.
Thanks guy's you know who you are. :)

I've now started to put together this little, one bookcase shelf display where I can have easy access. (for fondling, etc. :p ) When the mood hits me I rotate the knives with others out of the storage bins. I can finally appreciate my collection. :D

When my grandson comes to visit I lock them back away but I'm thinking of maybe placing a hinged and lockable Plexiglas window over the shelf opening.

This is the current rotation.

Great display Mike! Incredible knives too!

Speaking of your grandson... one of the challenges I have in coming up with a display is keeping it safe from my 6, 4 and 2 yr olds! And at this point the only thing that is safe from my monkeys is a SAFE! :p

OOPS! Sorry about that. I just noticed that I've got a little Chinese Schrade displayed right behind the Buck belt buckle . See if Joe catches it.

Very nice display Mike and thanks for sharing your pics.

Thanks Goose! BTW, you were one of those guys!

You are welcome Mike. And I mean it. Not gonna tell ya it's raining if it isn't raining.

Not a knife there I wouldn't be proud to have.
And I like the stands...where did you get them?

I picked them up on fleabay from Rich at RAS TAC Gear. He's makes them out of various types of wood for knives, guns or just about anything you might want to display I think.

I know what you mean Messersmith. There's an old saying in the engineering field that goes "it's hard to make things fool proof because fools can be so darn ingenious."

I think you can substitute "child proof" and it applies as well. Never underestimate those little angles. ;)
