I always wanted to carry a 4" folder or fixed blade with me.. But my profession, environment and financial status prevents me to do so (also the strick knife laws here that sucks)

After months of keen evaluation of my everyday tasks... I realized that my lifestyle doesn't really require a tactical blade... I only occasionally need to cut twines which my stanley industrial cutter already covers. For self defense... since carrying folders and fixed blades in public here is prohibited....i have no other choice but to use my cutter.. I do know a bit of arnis and muaythai.... on the other hand, my multitool (cheap Chinese brand, from a local hardware) gives me other options...

Where do you live? I'm on tapatalk and can't see. That's really unfortunate but realistically those tools should get your daily tasks done easily.

Nothing wrong with any of that. I'd suggest getting a Vic SAK like a Super Tinker, or a Case Peanut or Stockman if you can, and want to "move up" a bit.

But if you don't need or want to...you don't! :D Nothing wrong with that at all. If you are happy with the setup you have....good for you!

It must be one tough library if you are the librarian! But a small SAK is very discreet and will do most of the tasks you want.
