Figured that I would show some love for my EDC for the past three years - I love a solid, firm knife and the Kershaw Cyclone met that requirement in full - I purchased the non ON/OFF speed assist version after hearing of potential problems with that selector switch - just caught one before they were gone forever.

Anyone else really enjoy the full-size Cyclone? (the mini is too light for my tastes, I picked up a mini-black tanto version but it was just not for me)

Three years later and the assisted opening still kicks out the blade with a thwack - especially if opening with a little flick/snap of the thumb.

I don't have any pics, but I picked up the version with the on/off switch and the older style serrations. Didn't really care for it at first, but its definitely growing on me :)

I carrry a Cyclone at work in one pocket, a Shallot in another.

It is a little plain looking blade-wise (I think that the handle styling is a work of art) but man is it solid/hefty/pointy - not quite zero tolerance.

And that is coming from YOU - a leek fanatic right? Big difference between that full-size cyclone and a leek!

I have a DLC coated Shallot in my sights (the plain silver is too slippery for my tastes) - Current EDC is a Kershaw RAM and a Kershaw Echelon (original styling) now.
