Here is my current EDC knife - A Kershaw Mini Mojo with a dinosaur gem bone insert. I really do carry my works at least until I get talked into selling it. :)

The Dinosaur bone I used had a agate fortification along the edge of the bone where there was probably a fracture or a crack from drying in the sun before being buried.

It is called a "fortification" due to the resemblance of the agate pattern to the walls of a castle or other protective fortification.

Beautiful work, great color and pattern on that bone, and an amazing juxtaposition --
a seriously high-tech design, with ancient material and speculation on its history.

Today the dino bone insert survived its first drop onto a hardwood floor. The Mini Mojo is the very best knife I work with as far as being gemstone safe for every day carry.

I added a few pictures just for knivesandguns... They took three days to finish and the grips were hard to photograph as the polish is truly a mirror polish. Let's just say the jade dealer was really happy today.
