I've been meaning to post pics of my two EDC pistols for some time, and here they are.

Top one is a Springfield XD.40 subcompact, and the bottom is my newest; a Kimber Ultra Carry II .45

Lets see what you have!

What do you think of the Sub-C? I have debated buying one for quite some time...

None of these are my guns, all images culled off the 'net, but seven days a week, I'll have one of the below:

On a daily basis I will normally be found carrying these three. A S&W 325 PD worn strongside in a Hume JIT, a Colt Detective Special worn weakside crossdraw in a Hume JIT, and a Kel-Tec PF-9 either in my pocket or under my shirt in a Kramer Confidential T-Shirt. I carry two reloads for each revolver and an extra mag for the auto, all loaded with CorBon DPX. Yes I do carry all three daily and no I don't feel over armed, if I could get away with it I would carry a shotgun to boot!

I do carry other guns on occasion such as my P-7M8 or a 1911 or a High Power but the three in the pic or the ones I carry the most.

Absenteur, Golly, I was raised as a Hoosier, although it has been over 50 years since I lived there, so I am forced to ask: Exactly where do you live, or work, as I shall do my best to avoid that area on my next trip back to Indiana.
Now I do have to admit, "Times, they sure are changing". For many years I felt adequately armed with a 2 shot .38 Special Derringer in my pocket, and while today I would not consider relying on that as my only protection, it was compact, and ALWAYS with me. I have always felt even a lowly .22 in your pocket is worth more than a .44 mag in the glove compartment of a car several hundred feet away. Plus back in those days, there was no Kel Tec, or much available except cheap junk stuff like Davis and other pot metal .22 and .25 autos, which was concealable in a pants pocket.
However, since I am not into Law Enforcement, and am concerned with self protection, plus assuring safety of my immediate family, I normally rely upon one pistol at a time, a Kel Tec .380 for summer wear, and a snub .44 Special for when I can wear enough clothes to conceal it, but seldom both at the same time.

Doesn't matter where you live, today the threat is everywhere. Add in the influx of gang activity even in small towns and it gets even worse. And you are right...the 22 in your pocket beats the 44 in the car but why in the world is the 44 in the car? Right now I am carrying all three of those pistol and wearing shorts and a light camp shirt...very comfy and you cannot tell I am carrying.

And even back in "those days" there were pocketable guns available other than the 22s. Walthers come immediately to mind and the Seecamp was available starting in 1985 in 32acp. And of course the J-Frame S&W has been around for many, many years.

I started carrying a backup the first day I got my CCW when I was eighteen. I very seldom ever carried a single gun back then, the few times I did back then it was with a Steyr GB with 2 extra mags giving me 60 rounds of 9mm...lol.

Damn, a GB Steyr is a BIG gun. Had one myself, but soon got rid of it. Couldn't find a comfortable concealment holster. It was like trying to conceal a box of Wheaties under your shirt.

Interesting design, though. Your winter pistol?

Carried it when I had my gunshop, back then I wore a "photographer's" vest everyday for concealment. really wasn't any different than hiding a full sized 1911. If my memory is right I was using a Bianchi pancake holster for it. But it was to heavy and as my degenerative disc disease progressed that much weight was harder and harder on my back. Loved the gun tho....was as accurate as my P-7 and held a bunch of rounds...lol...only had to reload every third day! If I could have gotten hold of a factory comp for it I would probably still have it but at that time even the Austrian's couldn't find enough for their pistol team and having one custom made was more than I wanted to spend.
