Been carrying this bad boy around for 6 months or so.

I still carry my wave occasionally too, but the Surge is a beast of a multi tool. The additional weight was hard to get used to at first but now its like it was never there, until I go somewhere and i dont happen to have it on my belt!

Working in Irrigation and Landscape installation this thing does everything for me.

How do you like the scissors on the Surge? I went with the Charge TTi because I've heard the fit and finish on it is better, and I don't really have a huge need for an awl.

That is a big honker, but folks get used to carrying heavy pistols or other items on their belt so it is certainly do-able. Its just whatever you get used to I guess. If I were a "workin' man" like you instead of a laptop jockey, I would carry one too.

I love my surge. I got the half leather/half nylon sheath and i like it. I was the same though, i really wanted full leather, but i have too many other things to carry and the leather won't cut it. The weight isn't even bad. I actually carry mine above my front left pocket, horizontally.

I had a Charge a while back and don't remember using the scissors, but I use the scissors on the Surge a good bit.

they have stayed sharp and are plenty bigger than most other multi tools scissors.

i really like the scissors on the outside of the Surge and the interchangeable saw and file bits
