That's quite a bit of money! Is that stuff you actually carry daily or just use daily?

For me, I carry a knife, my most expensive being $130 (Lum Chinese), and my phone which I paid like $120 for (LG Voyager). Besides my keys and debit card + grocery store card + money all rubberbanded together.

I suppose I might on occasion carry my PSP with me somewhere, but not daily. It was $250, as I bought it on launch day.

Benchmade MiniGrip- $65
Motorola Q9c- $150
MoneyClip- $10
Costa Del Mar sunglasses- $200

I definilty wouldn't consider my 3 northface jackets part of my EDC, but two of them were $160 and one was $100.

You consider your computer part of your EDC? It it a work item or something you just always take when leaving the house?

Interesting. I'm thinking you're meaning EDU, not EDC. However, one's job can have alot to do with it. I can easily EDC/EDU well over $2K (Closer to $3K) of equipment/items, but again, what I do for a living has a lot to do with it. If I added my laptop, then it's easily in the area that you're at & I'm not including EDU, just EDC (Except the laptop).

I’ve got a sub compact computer that I wont leave the house without. My car can often be seen parked within hot spots as I quick check BFC.

Motorola Razr - Free (Came as an upgrade)
Fossil Watch - $20 (Had an old school Casio, but gave it to my mom cause she liked it)
Lamy Safari with converter - $30
Walmart Wallet - $8
Victorinox Spartan - $20 (Came with an SD Classic, which I gave to my girlfriend)
Handkerchief - $1

Total - $79

These are simply the items I carry on a daily basis. If including the rest of the junk I often switch out, as well as the items I carry in a satchel, it's probably another $50.

Cool. I just asked because I've never heard of an EDC computer before reading the OP's list. I may be a little behind the times in that regard. :o

I carry my computer every day unless its just me going out shopping or for ice cream but even sometimes with the ice cream, for work its def an every day thing and I use most of my stuff every day with me at least once. Most of it is pretty small and my jacket is in my pack cause here in FL it rains everyday at around 3 o'clock and I am usually without an umbrella. I am an amateur photographer and like going on nature trails and through the woods taking pictures and editing or viewing them on my laptop, which only has a 12.1'' screen so its not huge at all, it is also a touch screen tablet so I can jot notes down directly on the screen and save them in my handwriting or convert and save them in text. It makes it nice when in the factory we have to draw out a piping layout and dont have paper or need to email the drawing to someone. Come time when I get my CCW there will more then likely be a para or kimber .45 in that mix as well!

Man, you've got me beat by a mile as far as EDC load-out!

Looking in my pockets on a typical day:

  • Apple 16GB iPhone 3G = $200
  • Knife* = $50-150

  • INOVA mini LED light = $10

*My EDC knife changes almost every day among a wide selection of modern and traditional production knives from Case, Kershaw, Schrade and Spyderco.

I do have most of the other things on the OP's list (and then some!) but I just don't carry them on a daily basis so I didn't include them.
