I love it. I always liked the 110's better, but that may have changed with this beauty.
On hindsite, I should have gotten a bunch of them.

Beauty, rooikat, that is a keeper! As I love 440C steel and Elk inserts, I ordered two, one as my 'user' and one for my wife's birthday.

I am glad Buck added the 112 to the sale list...It sounds like a lot of folks are trying one for the first time!

Guilty as charged. I have a plain 112 that I just never got around to strapping on. When that 440C Elk came along, I just couldn't resist and now it goes everywhere with me. :o

bucksway, you are correct in my case. The elk 112 was my first 112 and I am thrilled with this example and the overall size of the 112 itself. I have always had a few 110's and now will look for some more 112's. I think a ram w.s. is in order later today!

rooikat, very nice elk on your 112, I also carry mine and people love it.

I tell you, the packaging was a great part of the appeal to me.
Very nice box, very helpful and interesting literature inside.
I also think the 440 blade is cool. Side by side with my mrecent 112, the blade is just so slightly different.

If there were more, I'd order more. Fifty clams was a steal.
If the ram horn is still available when I get the moola together, I'll get that one as well.

It sure does sound that way. I have no doubt that lots of folks are going to discover the pleasure of carrying a 112 for the first as a result of this sale. For me its a great size for a pocket knife.

BTW, I have three of these Elk and two Ram and if they'd have gone $50 on the Ram I'd have several instead of a couple:)

Enjoy your 112s fellas!!

Gorgeous knife:thumbup: I wish I had known to pick one up. I have been EDC a standard 112 for a few weeks now, and nothing else has worked its way into my rotation. The size and heft of the knife are perfect for my needs. The blade is large enough to work with, yet small enough to not seem over-knifed in non-woods settings. Couple that with one of those homemade back pocket sheaths, and I am a very happy camper.

I have been collecting Bucks since 1974 and my first 112 was when I got a Christmas Tin 112 a few years ago from Wally World. I now as many 112's as my 110's, and that is a lot. I really like the size. The finger groove ones really fit my hand.

Here are some pictures of my Elk 112 along with a Stag 112 for comparision. My Elk with 440C steel is super.

Oh yeah, the elk is the top knife. The bottom one is stag with NS bolters.

I sure wish that the Custom Shoppe offered Rangers as well as 110s', on a regular basis.

A finger groove drop point point 112 is all the knife 99 percent of folks need...

I am starting to see the light, Bucksway. My 112 is on an equal footing with my 110s'. I wonder if we can talk Bass Pro or Cabela's into a 'special steel' 112? :)

The smacking sound you hear is me kicking myself, I looked at that knife a bunch of times on the site, put it in my cart once and never pulled the trigger, what a dope. Glad you got one.
