My Emerson Bit Me

So my Emerson CQC-15 bit me yesterday and pretty bad to. The cut was pouring blood to the point it was slinging every where when I moved my hand. In too much of a hurry and a bit off for a photo opp then (hemophobic, so you can probably get the idea). Anyhow, I probably should've gotten stitches, but I didn't. I'm surprised it didn't take part of my finger, but I'm pretty sure it was cut to the bone. I had to pull the knife free, though it wasn't stuck hard, more just had my meat over top of the blade, likely a bad idea in hindsight. As for how it happened, I have no idea. I was going to close the knife after using it and fumbled it like a football. Anyhow, here's the damage after about 26 hours (it's healed a lot faster than I expected):

No, I think I explained it happened when I was trying to put the knife away. I'm not sure what happened, I just ended up fumbling the thing like a football when I went to close it and put the knife away after cutting the plastic wrap off a CD case of all things. It happened when I went to flip the knife over in my hand to get to the lock and close it. By the way, the only thing I keep in my right pocket is my Emerson.

It must have been a lot worse than it looks there.

I've also had occasion to drop a knife and try to catch it. Some people complain about blade-to-handle ratios, but in that situation I always manage to find the blade. Hope you heal quickly and remember, skin grows back steel doesn't, you made the right choice.

Haha, I like that:D

Yea it was and the blood thinners don't help. Like I said, that photo is after about 26 hours. Took me that long to risk taking the bandage off (very carefully).
Ouch! Blood thinners make cuts a whole lot nastier even if they're shallow. Glad it seems to be healing up quick.
