I wanted to thank you guys. I've lerked this forum for literally YEARS and used it to gather information about all sorts of knives I've gone out and purchased. However of all the spydercos I own, Benchmades, zero tolerances, and Fallknivens to name a few my emerson CQC-8 is my favorite and has become in the few months I've owned it my favorite EDC. I used to carry my spyderco Military, ZT 365, spyderco Manix 2 xl, or Spyderco Vallatton as my EDC. Now I find that my Emerson CQC-8 is the knife I just reach for as it combines the best characteristics of these 4 knives. I just wanted to thank you guys because if it wasn't for you I'd never of mde the purchase. Feel free t post your CQC-8 love

Great to hear that you are enjoying your CQC-8 and you are quite right in that it embodies all of the best features in a folder. Welcome to the world of Emerson, I'll bet you can't buy just one. :)

The cqc-8 was my first emerson too, the old ceramic coated version with cerakoted liners. Then I got a stonewashed horseman last year and a commander is on its way to me currently for my new job :) you'll get bit by the EKI bug

Oh waveless 8...why did I sell you!! I'm sure I have pics of it somewhere...but yeah, a custom waveless 8 is my all time grail.

i bought a cqc -15 maybe 2 years ago. carried it for a month and bearly ever used it. i was in a office environment while there were renovations. and i sold it. well 2 weeks ago i remembered how i missed everything my emerson had. everything it stood for. it wasnt trying to be the newest and coolest, the prettiest or the lightest, sharpenest or coolest. it liked being different. it liked getting dirty and not being cleaned for days. it liked being sharpened on a 100 grit hone laying around at work. it liked getting left stabbed in a table top for storage. and it liked being average

and that is what makes emerson more than an average knife. there is no hype there is no front running or emerson "phases" they are always in style.

i cross my fingers my new cqc-15 and cqc-7 mini get here tomorrow because i miss my emerson. so much i replaced it with 2 :)

The waveless 8 too me is one of the finest knives that's ever been made!!! I would give the world for a G10 cqc - 8 custom without the wave damn that's hot!!!

jw you are going to love your mini 7!!!! I've had mine about 2weeks and can't stop carrying it. Enjoy!
