So I get home a little bit ago and I find this package on my doorstep! My Emersons which I have been waiting about a week and a half for! IM SO EXCITED! :D I made a request to have my 2009 Mini 7 satin finished blade changed to 2011 stonewashed finish, and for a fee they did! Its worth it! SOO badass!!! I also had the lock on my Mini 15 replaced as well! The Traveler is a knife I had bought a few weeks ago #49, which I threw in the picture mix! The quality is amazing! There are no words to describe how happy I am!

THANK YOU MR. EMERSON FOR SUCH QUALITY KNIVES AND CRAFTSMANSHIP! YOUR PRODUCT REFLECTS YOUR REPUTATION! YOU'RE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! THANK YOU AGAIN! WITHOUT FURTHER ADO HERE THEY ARE!

Did they give you a new blade, or refinish the existing one?

I was disappointed when I opened by CQC-15, originally, to find the satin finish is a painted blade I really thought the paint would be a problem, but it hasn't been, at all. It rubbed off immediately where the ball rides on the blade, and I did have the blade reground by Krein, but the remaining painted satin area has stayed quite nicely.

The black finish that Emerson uses on his blades holds up fairly well, too. The usual wear and rub marks, but that's character, not flaw.

I do like the stonewash look; it's a cleaner blade.

Ironically, much as I really like the Commanders, the CQC-15 gets carried more than any other.

Nice looking pictures.

I had the blade completely replaced, I've been wishing for the longest time that Emerson would make a Mini 7 in stonewashed and it happened so I had to do it! Stonewashed is my favorite  in case you didn't notice Haha glad you like the pics

P.S. The 15 is a BEAST!

Very cool. I really like te stonewash on my endeavor. And have been looking at my older Emersons wishing that they had the same finish. Especially my trusty Specwar, how much did they charge to change the blade?
Do youthink they would do that for a discontinued knife Like the Specwar or an HD-7?
Those are my favorite and have been for a while

I payed $80 for my new mini 7 blade I think you'd be paying more for your blade cause its bigger and discontinued. All I did was ask this nice lady Mary and she said that they would change my blade so you never know what might happen if you ask. EKIs customer service is the best!

You paid 80 Bucks for a blade:eek:. Benchmade only charges 25 bucks for a new blade from them and thats even in better steel.

New hardwear too? Man my a100 is looking beat, might have to get is sharpened up proper and cleaned up a bit if the lockup maxes out. You're knives are looking great! and 80 bucks is very reasonable given how labor intensive properly mating a linerlock to a lockface would be, kinda want a stonewashed blade too!

Just new blade the lock is solid on the Mini 7. However a new lock on the Mini 15! Thank you for the compliments! I thought $80 wasn't that much because you can never put a price on safety equipment! :D Stonewashed is amazing and my favorite! If you end up replacing the A100 blade to a stonewashed one you won't be disappointed! My friend has a stonewashed A100 and it's awesome!
