Yesterday, was out playing around with my Spyderco Endura and it got away from me for a second, when I was folding it. No big deal, I just barely touched my left thumb with the serrated edge. I couldn't believe how sharp it was and how easily it cut me. I have heard others say it was a razor sharp edge, but I guess I wanted to find out first hand. The cut was very minor with 4 small puncture type wounds from the serrations, I didn't even need a band aid, just a little alcohol.

The funny thing is, I underestimated the Endura. I usually carry a larger knife (Cuda Maxx 7.0) as my primary EDC and use the Endura as either backup or when I work out or lounge around the house. While I felt a little stupid for cutting myself, I wasn't worried about the cut, I was just impressed with how sharp my knife was. I look at the Endura with more respect now and feel confident it would be a good self defense weapon if necessary. I also admit to having an addiction to knives and being in need of a 12 Step Program.

Admition is the first step. In order to cure your addiction you will need to send me your Cuda Maxx and Endura so this condition doesn't spiral out of control. :D

why on earth do you carry a cuda maxx 7.0 as an EDC, need to stab cows on a daily basis?

No no no! First we have sheeple asking why do you carry that now we are asking each other that question. :barf: :D

BAH! if'n ya don't need no popsicle sticks or super glue it ain' worth a postin' 'bout! :D Aint it somethin' how the ones you'd least expect it from bite you the hardest? two out of three of the worst bites I've seen occur happened with Swiss Army Knives (Third one was a Dalton Cupid- but it was also the funniest)

How you like that Gibbs Maxx? It's one of the few folding knives I'd still like to buy. (actually I'd like to buy two of them, and convert them both to tip up carry for each pocket) if enough is enough and more is better than way too much is just about right....err....right??

I just started carrying the Cuda Maxx 7.0 a few weeks ago. I believe the deterrent effect of this knife will keep me from having to use it. When anyone sees that knife they know they would know they are in trouble, if they don't have a gun. With the smaller knife, I think more people would make me have to use it.

I just found out what a Gibbs Maxx was. Mine is a Camillus Cuda Maxx 7.0 and not a Darrel Ralph version. I am very impressed with this knife. It has a very good feel and is a quality knife. I would like to get one of the Darrel Ralph knives someday, when I can afford it. I also think I would like the smaller version and have put it on my wish list.

Why on earth do you care about the size of people's EDCs?
