And it's making me talk funny!

Actually, I bought one of the Gen II/98/whatever Enduras used from a forumite at a tremendous price, but the pivot pin is too tight or something, because it's very hard to open and close the blade. It's not the lock, I checked, and copious oiling didn't help. Is there any way to loosen the action on this sucker without destroying it? It's a very nice knife, just not usable as it is (& I can't return it, part of a package deal . . . . )

thanks in advance for any insights y'all can provide! FF

Your Endura just needs to be "worked". Open and closed a few hundred times. It should get smoother the more its "worked". Hope this helps.

Blades - I dunno, I have NEVER felt a spyderco, or any folder for that matter, this tight. My Delica needed working in; this needs a prybar or something. But I'll keep at it - anyone else got another idea? thanks - FF

So its really, really tight. Hmmm... I've seen a few like that at Gun&Knife Shows, just looking at the Spyderco's. I would "work" it for awhile, try some different lubes, if it doesn't get better, do what Sal has said. Send it in with a letter. Good Luck!
